The project aims at strengthening co-operation potentials
between regional development units and their working environments
and surroundings in the participating regions and finally fostering
spatial integration by establishing and intensifying co-operation
between these actors.
This will be organised by a Knowledge and Information Manager
(KIM) model which will be developed after an intensive survey in
the participating regions. The main tasks and duties of the KIM are
to get to know a comprehensive overview of regional development
processes on different levels (regional, national, interregional
bi- and multi-lateral) and to touch potential areas of regional
development in an integrative multi-sectoral manner and as a
holistic approach.
The KIM model will be anchored in the participating regions and
transferred to an enlarged network of project partner
organisations, thus contributing to overcome regional disparities
between candidate / 3rd countries and EU member states.
