Description

It is a major objective of the Government of Styria to strengthen international relations in order to improve the competitive environment of regional development in a multi-national context. Thus for example Styria is intensely promoting the “EU region of the future: Old Neighbours – New Partners”. The recent enlargement of the European Union and the ongoing integration of associated states provide the unique opportunity for European regions to create important joint development axes in the CADSES area.

Regarding these new circumstances, the Government of Styria is involved and engaged in a number of bi- and trans-national EU projects in the fields of interregional development, economic affairs, know-how and technology transfer, decontamination of the environment by sustainable implementation of pollution-control technologies, labour, innovation, development of SMEs.
