SRC Bistra is a lead partner of Interreg IIIB CADSES Sm@rt
region project that aims to strengthen co-operation potentials
between regional development units in the Central and East European
countries and to build a Region of KNOWLEDGE. For the final
conclusion of the project, SRC Bistra will organize international
conference, with broad participation of at least 200 different
international stakeholders.

Cultural variety in Europe:

The aim of this Project International Symposium "Cultural
variety in Europe: policy and practice!" is to disseminate and
share the findings of the Interact Project CULTPLAN - Planning as
Culture in Europe, to arise the awareness of INTERREG causing
cultural dynamics and to valorize INTERREG experiences with cross
cultural cooperation with respect to the cultural strategy of the
EU.

EP calls for better funding of
renewable energy research
A greater portion of the European Union's budget should go
into renewable energy research, the European Parliament (EP) says
in a report on a roadmap for renewable energy adopted on 25
September. The EU's research and technology programmes should also
be used to a greater extent for the development of renewable
energies, says the report.
EU launches Sustainable Nuclear
Energy Research Platform
Nuclear energy has won a place in the EU's low-carbon energy
mix following the launch of a new forum for nuclear energy research
by the European Commission and the French Atomic Energy Commission
(CEA).
